OCHACKERZ is partnering with AT&T for an Internet of Things Hackathon

VENUE:  Back Bay Conference Center 3415 Michelson Dr, Irvine, CA

Interested in the Internet of Things (IoT)? Want to collect and retrieve data from Internet-connected sensors? Subject matter experts from AT&T’s Plano Foundry Innovation Center, the hub of AT&T's leading-edge IoT research, will be teaching two free hands-on coding labs on AT&T’s RESTful M2X Data Service APIs, including working with the TI CC3200 SimpleLink LaunchPad, which will be yours to keep. In addition, we will have a drawing at each event for an Arduino Starter Kit from Arduino and a copy of “Exploring Arduino: Tools and Techniques for Engineering Wizardry” by Jeremy Blum!

2 Sessions Available: Afternoon or Evening

    AFTERNOON: http://devlab-irvine-afternoon-2015.eventbrite.com/?aff=muoch

    EVENING: http://devlab-irvine-evening-2015.eventbrite.com/?aff=muoch

    Session 2: Tuesday, April 28, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. (registration & dinner 5p.m. to 6 p.m.)

    Cost: Free
Tools: Using cURL for the lab exercises. Bring your laptop!

In addition to three hours of hands-on learning via structured lab exercises, including working with an Internet-connected sensor, this event will also provide a great opportunity to network with AT&T experts and your fellow developers. Seating is limited so sign up soon. (Note that the content of both workshops is the same.) Want to avoid the traffic AND have some fun? Then come early or hang around late and enjoy the many activities within walking distance. Go bowling just downstairs at Irvine Lanes. Or walk over to Boomers, right next door, and enjoy an afternoon or evening of miniature golf, go carts, bumper boats, and much more. So come on over to learn about IoT and have a great time, all while missing the traffic!

These are not AT&T marketing pitches, but rather 3-hour, hands-on coding workshops in which we walk through coding examples then provide help as you go through the lab exercises yourself. So come and discover what made the 145 attendees in New York a few weeks ago so enthusiastic! Please join us for an afternoon or evening of learning, coding, socializing, and eating! AFTERNOON M2X APIs Workshop (same content as evening)
