Inventors Forum Speaker's Series

Speaker:Eliot Geeting

How to Launch Your Idea to the Stars, or Love It to the Grave!

Come learn what to do and what not to do with your ideas. Learn about which steps will move you forward and which ones will hold you back from success from someone who has traveled down both paths multiple times. Hear stories of success and failure from Eliot Geeting, a product developer/inventor who spent over 2 decades making a full-time living exclusively from developing, licensing and selling the rights to his ideas.

Eliot Geeting’s Background

Eliot started designing and wholesaling handmade crafts (which sold in local shopping malls) when he was just 14 years old, then worked in furniture manufacturing, auto restoration, and as a certified toolmaker designing and building special machines, jigs and fixtures. He then moved into sales and marketing, management and ultimately became co-owner of Plasma-Tec, Inc., a successful manufacturing company in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At the age of 26, Eliot relocated to Southern

California and started developing, marketing, licensing and selling his ideas and innovations on a full-time basis. His products have been sold through DRTV, live TV (QVC / HSN), Internet, major catalogs, DR print, major retailers, etc. He has been on national and local television and radio shows promoting his products as well as being interviewed about the invention process. Eliot is a former president of the Orange County Inventors Forum and developed and executed the successful “Great Invention Show" on behalf of the Inventor's Forum and the Orange County Fairgrounds. Eliot has conducted hundreds of seminars, workshops and private consultations assisting inventors with the steps to succeed with their ideas.
